The pinnacle events of the FAI Conference are the nightly Official Showcases. These artists have been selected by an industry advisory panel via a jury process. Quality of the work, current career activity, future performance plan, and national/international tour-readiness are all factored into the selection. Approximately 200 Official Showcases will take place, although there are no exact quotas.

FAI is one of the few music industry conferences that offers everyone in attendance the opportunity to present independent showcases. Private Showcases take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors of the Westin Hotel in actual hotel rooms and suites. These late night events run from 10:30pm until the wee hours of the morning.
